At WORK-UP PHYSICAL THERAPY we treat a wide range of work injuries, auto injuries, personal injuries, sports injuries and various medical/post surgical conditions. Individuals of all ages and varying levels of physical fitness are treated at our facility. Sophisticated medical monitoring is utilized during treatment sessions to ensure the safety of our patients. Communication and teamwork with your referring physician is prioritized to ensure the best possible outcome.

The specific treatment programs vary depending on the problem or condition. Treatment activities often include strengthening muscles, stretching exercises, conditioning exercises on equipment, treatments to improve balance and coordination, treatments to decrease pain and functional training for tasks such as lifting, bending, squatting, carrying, reaching overhead and various types of walking activities.

During the functional training component of the program, changes to improve activity performance are emphasized. Subtle changes in grip, foot position, leverage points, timing and technique are made to produce improved functional performance. When this functional training is combined with improved strength, flexibility and balance, people are often able to progress to a point where they are pain free and functioning without any problems.
